Taverna
56 Rue Amelot, 75011 Paris, France
We were disappointed by the experience. The menu looked appealing and there was a good selection, but what we ordered—tarama, halloumi, fried calamari, fries, and tzatziki—was far too heavy. Beyond the fact that some dishes are naturally quite rich, there was an excessive amount of oil, especially in the tarama and on the halloumi, to the point where it quickly became cloying. The tzatziki was also very thick and quite heavy. We love Greek food, but we left feeling completely stuffed, almost nauseous. The service was quick, which was appreciated, but the welcome lacked warmth. The place is nice, but unfortunately, for us, that's where the positives end. A major disappointment in terms of the food.
Overpriced, tiny portions, deplorable service, rude and unprofessional staff, mediocre quality
Poor value for money. The service was adequate, but the dining room is quite cramped.
We stumbled upon the Taverna by chance, and although the prices were rather high, we were delighted with the quality and flavors of the dishes. I really loved it and I have recommended it to others. It was delicious, the atmosphere was pleasant, and the service was very good.
